Choose relief detail with the stock and artwork
Mark the areas intended to rise or recess. Review fine details, panel position and the proposed material on a physical sample.
Relief combined with foil
Discuss registration and the detail size for the complete treatment. Confirm compatibility with the proposed board and wrap before approval. Review foil and relief planning.
A brand mark as the focal point
Choose where the mark is encountered and how it reads on the assembled box. Review relief alongside the wider printed identity. Plan logo presentation.
Appearance & feel.
Embossing and debossing change the relief of the material. The effect may be used with printing or as a more subtle unprinted detail, subject to compatibility.
Where to consider it.
Consider a clear logo shape or simple pattern with room around it. Touch and light can reveal the design even when contrast is intentionally restrained.
What to confirm.
Board thickness, wrap, pressure, tooling and reverse-side appearance must be reviewed. A deep effect is not automatically possible on every material.
